Yours truly, Larry
Ledlow, Jr., not to be confused with my father, who is nothing short of a sociopath!

Welcome!I first landed in cyberspace in 1987, long before the worldwide web as we know it today. My interests in communications naturally led me into computers. I connected to Compuserve and GEnie with a 300 bps modem from a house in the woods of New England. I've been here ever since. This domain serves several purposes. First, we host several family e-mail accounts and web pages, although most content relates to me personally. The server also hosts a number of business-related links. Follow the business link from the menu above to find The Waterpoint Group and others. My perch in Fairbanks, Alaska, affords me a stupendous point of view both of the outdoors and The Outside. Several essays and other writings are available for your perusal under "The View from 65 North" and "The Balkan War Diaries". My claimed profession is systems engineering, and most of my time has been spent working with satellite ground systems as well as communication networks and devices. I also have extensive experience in print-publishing and web design. Both business and pleasure take me to far-away lands. I am almost never without a camera, and the galleries here provide a few hints of my experiences. My real passion is collecting the Northern Lights on film, and you can catch a handful of glimpses into my aurora collection. |
